First Jeep problem. Came home last night on interstate and developed misfire. Did some digging and found this. New plugs and problems still there. Did a compression check and no compression on cylinder 2. About to take it in and see what happened
The ceramic portion of spark plugs are very hard and can destroy an engine. I would bet that you possibly bent a valve.
That’s what I’m thinking. It doesn’t smoke and plug was wet with fuel after I tried a plug change. Ive got 100,000 mile Powertrain warranty through the dealer I got it from used. It’s at Jeep right now. Just waiting to hear something
The warranty is covering another engine. Not sure what happened or the extent of the damage. I’ll find out more when it’s ready
Finally got it back. Took about a month but the extended warranty took care of it. They didn’t do full teardown diagnostic so not 100% sure what happened. Now to get my header and snorkel installed.
New tires. 235/65/17 Firestone Destinations. No lift and slight rubbing on plastic. Already taken care of pinch weld. Just need to secure plastic
