    Hello fellow Reney enthusiasts. New guy here just looking to get some information.

    I've got a 2017 TH and I'm planning on installing the Avid 2" lift, and looking to get new wheels & tires. I'm looking at the following wheel and outfitting them with the 225/65/17 BFG KO2's.

    Will I be able to run this wheel without having to use spacers? Will there be any potential issues running this setup?

    https://www.gearoffroad.com/wheels/758-sector-c/

    Wheel specs:
    17x8
    35mm offset
    5.88 backspacing
    73.1mm hub bore

    Thanks you guys for any helpful information you can give :)

    Welcome to the forum. I am not knowledgeable about wheels but I can tell you that 225/65/17 tires will fit all 4x4 Renegades without any mods needed. I remember reading that the use of spacers sometimes causes rubbing. There are members on the forum that know a lot about wheels/tires/lifts for the Renegade, they check in frequently. You picked a nice looking wheel, it should look good on your TH. Also, Avid makes great products for the Renegade. We like pictures by the way! Good luck, please keep us posted.

    Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm hoping this wheel works with the setup I'm trying to go with. I'm just worried about any rubbing or turn radius problems with a slightly wider/taller tire. I do have 1.25" spacers if needed but prefer not to use them.

    The wheel tire combo that you are looking at will fit nicely without spacers.
    Looking forward to seeing some pics when you geter done.

    So. I'm thinking it's gonna take some extra stuff to make that wheel work for you, for comparison, Stock Trailhawk wheels;

    Product Specifications:
    Product ID: ALY9199U45/9147
    Product: Wheel/Rim (Single)
    Material: Aluminum
    Style: 10 Slot
    Finish: Powder Coat Black
    Size: 17x6.5
    Lugs: 5
    Bolt Pattern: 110mm
    Offset: 40mm

    So that gives a backspacing of 5.32" so that puts the Gear Offroad wheel over half an inch (.56") Closer to the strut, so I'd guess you are going to need at least that much spacer to keep a 225/65r17 from rubbing on it.

    Also the stock wheels have a bore of 65.1mm, and are hub centric, so you would need to use some hub centric rings as well;

    https://www.amazon.com/73-1mm-Circu...+73.1+65.1&qid=1586860372&s=automotive&sr=1-5

    I think with the wheel spacers you have, and a set of hub centric rings, it will probably work OK, with a slight chance the tire will rub on the back of the front inner fenders

    I'm realizing this is basically the question I asked, except that I WANT the spacers, and have no plans on replacing rims. Lol

    I look forward to updates on this one.

    So I got one of my wheel's in today and decided to do a test fit. Gotta say, fits damn good. There's about 1/2 clearance below the strut, and about 1/4" space at full turn on the backside fender. Really love the look of this wheel and fit great with the hub centric rings and clears the break caliper no problem. No spacers used. Tire is the Toyo Open Country AT 225/65/17. Now just waiting for the other three to arrive this week :)

    Also I did manage to get the Avid 2" lift installed last week. Took me two days (I did it by myself) and that job seriously kicked my ass lol. But it was worth it in the end. Decided to not drop the subframe/exhaust/carrier bearings.

    To be continued.
