I have a Sport without factory roof rails, would be Daystar Light Bracket still work? I'm thinking I could just bolt the bracket down through the plastic insert like I did for the Thule Podium feet. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    After talking to our techs here at Daystar Products they told me tell you that;
The bracket is designed to work with the factory roof rail.
If the roof rail is not in place then it will not properly hold down the light bracket.

Thank you for the reply, it's pretty awesome that you have people out listening/participating in the community. Sucks the part won't work for us guys that went the Sport route. I can't speak for all of the Sport owners, but when I bought my Renegade, I went with the 4x4 Sport edition thinking I would create my Renegade exactly as I wanted. I guess I'll have to try to make something.

I have the Daystar Lift and I'm ordering your sliders this weekend, thanks for helping all of us Renegade owners create the rigs, we've always wanted!!!

Wayalife, great write up, I ran the wires exactly as you showed. Very awesome and clean looking install.

At 240watts your setup is pulling 20 Amps. Did you use a relay on the switch for your light bar?

I measured out about 20feet of wire needed, a bit too long to run 20 Amps on 14 AWG. Also, have you had any electrical issues using the 14awg wire?

Looks beautiful! One question I have is, is there any wind noise or whistling coming from the light bar?

Light bars create a ton of wind noise. I used some weather stripping to quite it down. If you do it right you will almost eliminate it completely.

can you please include a picture of the switchpod, taken from the inside of the jeep with the driver door closed?

ps- nice phone mount! I have the suction cup version of that brand. It hold my phone with a death grip even when off roading.

I'll take one today for ya if I can remember lol

Yea I love this mount! Suction cup would prob be better since you don't have to have a magnet on the back of your phone. but I have it set up for my tablet too so I have a bigger GPS screen. Holds that sucker tight too!

    Nice post !
I just got mine Daystar Led for the trailhawk version at Brazil and installed like the post! It's perfectly working ... I'm just trying to solve the wind noise issue ... it comes by the center of the led bar because the air flow is very thin, maybe if the bracket was a little bit higher and shorter it could be better...

    Question on Step #62.....

The rubber gromet was originally installed from the engine compartment side. Did you now install it back from the passenger compartment side?

Thank you so much for this write-up! I ran the wires for a set of Rigid 360 series lights on my daughter's Renegade today and this was a life saver!

That's a REALLY nice Renegade, btw!
