You may want to try some speedometer apps. I have 255/55/18 from 215/65/17 and there’s only a 2-3 miles difference (higher) when I hit 70. When I’m at 40, no difference. So you can fill the difference in between. I tried three different apps and they all show the same. I also followed my wife when she’s driving (I know it’s not 100% accurate) but it confirms the app somewhat.

It's no so much about the speedo being off by a few MPH. You can compensate for that. Long term, your odometer will be off (lower). It will show up in trip computer MPG's and range also.

it’s messing up all the computations- MPG range endurance etc. not a big deal but I aim for 20mpg averages and gives me an idea how my wife’s been driving it lol

Thought I'd do a follow up. Got the 245 65 17's on. Wildpeaks AT3's They look awesome ! But do they fit ? Well ? Guess it's a matter of opinion. For the most part yes. But just barely. Slight rubbing turning to the right. And I'd imagine they would rub a lot more off road. May have to go back in and do some more trimming. Still haven't test that out yet. Will say this, I think these are a way better tire than the KO2's I had on before. (For this vehicle). Softer riding, quieter. Looks like they will do well off road. Not sure as good as BFG's, but got to give up something somewhere.

so, finally tackled it for the 3rd session. all rubbing has ceased! I figured you meant pics of the trimming. passenger side, trimmed flush to the inside mold-bend, filled and painted. will need to get her really flexing to see. she did not like being loaded to the brim (camping) and on windy mountain roads. scrape scrape scrape

forgot to snap a shot of what i did to the front side of the inner fender liner mounting. drilled a new hole on the bottom of the bumper and screwed it in 2” forward, which pulled the liner forward enough to clear the tire from grabbing at the removable cover. can edit this one tomorrow with it
