Hi all. I finally found a set of 17x7.5 wheels with a +20 offset, and am having these installed along with the AVID 1.5" lift and new 225/65-17 tires tomorrow. The local tire place that is doing the install is strongly recommending the Toyo Open Country ATII. They have lots of great things to say about them, including the fact that they have a 65K mile warranty. I tried a search, but I couldn't find much on the Toyo's on this forum. Does anyone here have them? How many miles, and what are your impressions? I only do semi maintained dirt roads/trails that my FWD can handle, and am concerned about ride and noise on the highway after many thousands of miles. I do not want a touring tire, as I do alot of those dirt trails. So, Toyo Open Country owners, what are your thoughts, please? I had the regular Open Country AT on my Ram 2500 the last 3 years I had it. Only put about 10K miles on them in that time. Worked pretty good. Mostly city (Anchorage, AK) driving but a couple thousand miles of highway use hauling small to medium loads and an atv trailer. Worked ok in the snow and on dirt roads. Never took it off a semi-improved dirt road, so actual off road use I have no idea.
Had the Toyo OC ATII installed yesterday, same size as your looking 225/65r17. So far I like them, its no mud tire but does just fine in dirt/muddy conditions, performs better than a touring/highway allseason in snow. You can feel it is a little stiffer on pavement but not enough to really notice unless you are picking at it. Road noise is very very minimal over my stock continental tires. I think they are a great choice so far.

Good lookin jeep, this is how I think they were meant to look. Your gone love the new tires, mine corrected my speedometer too, I used to read about 3-4 mph over at 65, now its spot on.

Great tires i had them in 235-65-17 went strong for 2yrs about 25,000 miles in them would be great for those dirt roads and last you a lot longer as it handled constant off roading in dirt, gravel, mud, rock gardens, snow etc..
I was going between 225 70 or 75 & 235 70 or 75 for my rene sport with no lift on stock 16s. Anybody else running 235s on all stock setup? Are the 235 too wide?
