So like many people im wanting to down size my wheels to 16" to fit a bigger, more aggressive offroad tire. im not too worried about tire size yet since i havent done a lift. i just havent been able to find where to get the right set of 16"steel wheels with right bolt pattern. before i worry about tires i want to make sure i can get wheels.

if anyone who has gotten the 16" steel wheels can send a link for where they ordered them id greatly appreciate it.

I found this, only ships in UK unless you call them (which I haven't yet).
A guy on Ebay has 1 for sale, asking him if he can get more in US and if he knows if it clears TH front brake caliper like the stock Jeep steels do.

    https://jeepspares.com/parts/detail/TF4408/

It has an offset of +25, so I image there is a good chance it clears the caliper, but depends on how it is designed from Wayoflife showed us and what I can see on my own TH.

The sales guy @ jeepspares/frogsisland4x4/terrafirma4x4/etc. said they can ship to US, waiting to hear back on shipping rates to my address from UK sales rep.

Have one from US on the way to try out next week to make sure it works before I order 4 more from UK (unless shipping is crazy). The US seller also said he can get more if I call and order from him. Haven't called yet, waiting to fit this wheel on and see if it works out.

Have the wheel today, it landed via UPS, but it is pouring rain so will try to fit it on tomorrow. It does look like it will work with the 25 offset. maximum clearance space where the front brake calipers should sit inside. The guy in the UK got back to me and seems like I can ship them for about $100 total a wheel. (45$ for wheel, 55$ for shipping from the UK). That does explain why the ones on Ebay that popped up again are 82-90$ with shipping.

I will post once I get it on and ensure it spins without issue.

The rain settled down so I got the wheel on.

    1) It fits perfect on the hub and bolts.
    2) The front brake caliper drags slightly on the inside lip in several places along the circumference of the inner wheel, but ever so lightly. Not enough to stop from free spinning while in Neutral.

The ridge tapers off just a few millimeters after the point the front caliper is slightly dragging. I think the brake calipers would grind out in a few hundred miles, but it is a little annoying that it is that close of a fit.

I think to be safe, one would need to grind down the top and bottom of the front brake calipers about 1-2mm and then may as well apply a coat of caliper paint at that point :D

If you could post pictures when you get it all on that would be great

I have all 5 wheels now, just working on getting the tires figured out and then I will go get it all mounted and stuff.

After the lift, I added 1" spacers so if I keep those on the new wheels will not drag at all on the brake caliper. I added the spacers for both stability and looks, since it looked like it was about to tip over on the stock wheels/tires after the lift. It felt a little squirrely on the drive home, but after adding the spacers it feels great again.

The wheels will add another 15mm of poke, so I may need to remove the spacers if I go with 235s instead of 225s, just to clear the fender liner on full turn. Need a CAD model or free access to a tire/wheel shop for a day to figure this all out it is so close of a fit. LOL
