check out my all stock with exception of turning up the wastegate preload 3mm renegade with muffler delete. its a cold start, but ambient temp was high 70's
I'm going to upload another video from this morning soon. it was a bit colder and sounded much better than this one
I was surprised how deep it was considering it's a 1.4, I was expecting more of a farr can sound but I'm happy with it
So what exactly is the reason for removing them aside from sound? Wouldn't that lead to emission and CEL/puter problems?
The last sensor for emissions is the O2 sensor after the CATalytic converter. The rest of the exhaust makes no difference (as far as the ECU is concerned). There might be a couple house power to gain but to get the most from the exhaust, you would want a larger down pipe with a high flow CAT. Removing the CAT is what trips the CEL.
To be honest, that sound on a cold start would be considered very anti-social in my in-town neighborhood. Worse yet, a true cold-weather cold-start would go beyond the objectionable stage. Maybe I'm a buzzkill, but I don't see, feel or hear any redeeming value in this muffler-ectomy. Glad you don't live next door to me! ;^) And, get off my lawn <shaking fist>!
