So I just exited ATPs website (of course I spent at least another$150) and saw they will be having a 4 inch lift kit for the Toaster/compass!!!! I'm super pumped but also bummed I just installed the 2 inch! anyone have an idea of what might be needed to this much lift?
I dream about some kind of portal hub like on a Humvee. Avid is already working on a solid axle conversion. Maybe ATP has something similar planned.
I love my 2.0 and am itching to jump at the 4.0 but that price hurts. I’m interested to see what kind of hardware they need to include with it too. At least for my limited knowledge, the 2.0” was a really tight install.
If ATP wanted to send me one, I'd be glad to be a test mule and put lots of hard miles on the kit and report back! #AmericanTrailProducts!! lol
If you already have the one lift, add the Eibach Spring kit, as I understand, that's about what they did.
if the ATP lift is 2" and the Eibach lift springs are 25mm, we're still missing the better part of an inch no?
plus if you go any higher than 2 inches, the alignment will be way off and not able to be adjusted correctly. there's not enough adjustment in the camber bolts.
I haven't lifted mine (yet) but everything else I have is lifted without alignment issues (16' JKU and 13' Silverado). With the Teraflex and ATP kits, is my alignment going to be junk? New to the toaster so please be patient with my daftness.
Eibach is 1.7" on a non Trail Hawk, .30" difference, they may have rounded off or made up the difference, I'm not going to sweat .30"
Gotcha. I forgot the variance between models, my bad and you're right, .30" isn't worth sweating. I emailed them but never got a response as far as details or availability. 4" of lift on my TH with the 18" trail blade XT's on their way would be pretty sweet though.
your alignment won't be junk but you'll need it realigned after the install of the lift. but my 2 inch ATP lift took my adjustment bolts to their max. alignment is still good.
Getting an alignment and not being able to align it are two different things to me I always align my rigs after *any* suspension work that could alter it. Custm16 - did you buy cam bolts?
I did not. didn't need them. but I will replace them to avoid stripping if I do any more suspension work
