So I would like to apologize to every person who went to discount tires in the USA and tried to buy 225/65R17 KO2s. I was the butthole who had the only set lol. Anyways I finally got them installed after waiting for my wheels and i want to relay information on them. Seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to bigger tires so I'd like to be as descriptive as possible for future customers.

Without further delay, here is a quick pic from the shop after installation. I'll take more angles in the daylight tomorrow to show the different angles for those who would like to see.

So first off the wheels are rockstars obviously with a 1.5" offset. I went this route because i dont trust spacers and as cheap as they are i didnt like the thought of one day seeing one of my wheels rolling out from under my car or any other horror story associated with spacers. With 1.5" i am just far enough from the bottom of that shock absorber cup that it itll never touch the tire and still doesnt rub the pinch seam. I think it touches the fender but in a future picture youll see it just kicks the dirt off my fender not so much as eating it. Speedometer didnt change i think, phone said 61 mph while car said 62 mph. The tires are very loud but i got used to them after 20 minutes but are very unstable after 60mph. My turning radius doesnt seem affected either but the steering feedback is very similar to my wifes JK with KO2s. It bumps around a lot more and isnt as snappy like a car when jerking the wheel so i guess it feels like a proper SUV.

These are custom wheels also so good luck paying for them...i bought 5 cause i wanted a full size spare which i tested and it fits in the back perfectly fine with everything removed...i dont have the 5th wheel yet (idiots only made 4) so pics for that will come later. Total price came to roughly $2200 before $100 rebate and down payment with that discount tire warranty thing.

Ill cut it short for now. Explain more when i take more pictures. Ill try to keep this updated as the life of this jeep goes on (only 2600 miles)

TLDR; They fit, 1.5" offset rockstar wheels on 225/65R17 KO2. No rubbing. Tires are loud. Steering is more SUV less car like. Little to no change in Speedometer reading.

More pictures of Renee soon. [emoji12]

PS: to clarify, the wheels are 1.5" offset from stock...forgot that little detail.

Nice, I like the black wheels against the dark blue body. Can you give more detail when you say very unstable over 60mph? What exactly happens?

The steering wheel feels to rock a lot as if the front wheels werent put on straight and they're just rocking side to side. Im sure itll buff out over the life of the tire...this was just my initial impressions as i left the shop.

Pinch seam distance. I used my motorcycle key as reference for distance. Reminder i have no lift yet, just the wheels and tires.

Have the front tires balance rechecked. If it continues, see if there are any hubcentric rings installed, or available. When we have wheels that are universal (fit multiple applications) the gap between hub and wheel's hub is too great, and even with a good balance, they can still move around. A imbalance typically shows up between a certain speed..

A tire either will balance out, be out of round, or develop a radial pull someday, but a wheel could also be out of round, OR the wheel isn't cerntered properly.

I'll have to ask but i dont believe there are hub centric rings installed. I'll have to take her out on the highway (which is 40 min away) to check if i still have that wobble. It feels fine now all the way up to 55 mph but they are extremely loud
