Has anyone changed out their factory radio or GPS, or added a an aftermarket GPS? My Limited only had the standard Unconnect radio unit and the dealer said they could not add the factory unit. Any feedback? Thanks!

Yes I have switched to a Kenwood DNX571HD. I am waiting for the idatalink maestro harness to be available so I can have all the uconnect settings. Right now, I have sound and everything but cannot change the uconnect settings.

Tried the Kenwood Excelsior model and it's horrible! Takes forever to boot up, sooooo user unfriendly, and not all factory settings work. Had the dealer take it back out and just bought a OEM factory unit on ebay from another vehicle. The dealer said they couldn't get one from Mopar! Going to have it installed next week.

I am in the market for something new... Have not found something that reviews high enough that I want to spend the money on though.

Well in theory just changing the GPS will work and the radio should connect but since the dashboards are different on the GPS and non GPS models a lot of the extra features and stuff will not be accessible on the non GPS dashboard. Also on. An aftermarket unit you do gain way better sound quality. The factory unit is programmed at certain eq points and those are not changeable. There is also an aftermarket GPS option that is OEM speck as well that I have seen on the internet.

There's a few aftermarket companies selling gps factory units. I put one in my 300. It's the same price as factory and everything works it's a compleat kit. These are factory reprogrammed radios. It was a few hours to install and like I said no big money saved. I'm sorry for being cheap my daughter wanted gps in her Hyundai you had to buy a $3,000 package to get it. I went shopping bought a holder for my old galaxy note 4 it's screen is almost as big as some factory units and it was just sitting in the draw with a hand full of old phones. She needs gps and Pandora she piggy backs from her cell. She now has a free gps.

My Renegade is a UK new car. It has Uconnect 6.5 but, as an import to New Zealand, it doesn't have the mass for Australia/NZ. Does anyone know what format maps are in and whether I can flash a new set of maps into the system? I've tried Jeep and Uconnect but the have not written maps for it.
