Hi, I would like to know if I can use a 235/65 r17 tire without spacers or lif. I will not use this car on the trail.

I think the 225/65 r17 will make no difference compared to the originals.

    Thanks.

Not sure how it would be without spacers. I have 1 inch spacers and no lift. Mine had a slight rub at full turn. I had to do a little pinch seam trimming to get rid of the rub.

    That's with 235/65r17 tires.

    235/65 are too big.
The 225 will make a noticeable difference.

Ok so I just put on the AVID 2” lift. How in the World are people fitting 30s (equivalent) without bottom of the strut eating the tire. Bottom of the strut hangs about 1 1/2 (width) over top of tire. If I go any tall than 29 (equivalent) I’ll be into my strut.

Also can’t find aftermarket rims for the Renegade and its 5-110 bolt pattern that have less offset from OEM.

I have been saying since the beginning of time... 30 inch tires WILL NOT FIT. unless you are willing to cut the inner fender out. Not just the fender liner or the pinch weld, the inner fender.

I read once that 4 inches will get you 30. NOT possible. I tried.

You will need a spacer to clear the spring perch. But, do not go more then 1 inch. 1.5 inch spacer will rub at turn.

I picked up my rims at DiscountTireDirect.com (America's Tire). You can see them here (click here).

Good to know, thanks for the input. Looks like I will be staying at 28s “maybe” 29s.
