Alright gang, ECU came in early.....all I got to say is wow. Pieced together intake, hack job muffler delete, and the ecu have made a dramatic improvement. mid range power is up more than I expected, my butt dyno says yes! Also I have tried climbing some steep mounds out at the local sand pit and it struggled. Now it just goes, takes a second to realize it has some power now and then just pulls hard all the way up.

Odd thing is traction control doesn't cut power as much now. Install is straight forward but use dielectric grease in the plugs.

When the tires come in and are installed i'll goof off some more and come back here.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Ok so two days later and I am getting p0192 error like crazy, unplug the madness ecu and it all goes back to normal. I got a hold of someone at madness and they said they would get back to me, that was 5 hours ago. As of now I am removing the madness ecu entirely and returning it, I can't have this thing blow up my jeep.

On a side note it fuel cuts hard before the code comes up and after the next start cycle it sounds like the multi-air is out of time.

I tried to like this thing, but something is not right about this ecu for the 1.3.

That's odd, I wonder if it's fuel map is drawing so much that it's dropping out the pressure on the rail, maybe even causing cavitation in the rail and lines... Out of curiosity, how low was the gas in the tank?

    I can understand that :)

If it is starving for fuel at any point that can be very bad for the valves.

I think the problem is; because the tuner acts like a piggyback system, it makes changes to the parameters (fuel, timing and or boost) without the PCM know that the changes are being made. It does this to give you more power without the need to reprogram the PCM.
So, when the PCM makes a demand to the fuel, timing and or boost, and the results aren't what it is asking for, so you get a correlation error.

My example would be: If the PCM it sees that you punch it (mash the gas), the PCM adds fuel, takes away timing and sees (for example) 12 PSI of boost. The PCM would expect to see the up stream O2 sensor numbers drop (get rich) and the down stream O2 sensor would see a percentage of the demand.
The piggyback tuner intercepts the command from the PCM and makes its own modification to give you more timing, more fuel and addition boost. BUT, in doing that, the PCM knows what information was sent, but isn't seeing the demanded results and an error message is sent (engine light).

    ... so to speak.

Exactly, they never responded back, or called me back. It's a bummer they seem so nice in the YouTube videos, and on the Fiat 500 forums and Alfa forums....guess us jeep fools aren't worth their time lol.

That's really too bad, I had high hopes for their stuff, But I'm wondering if they really understand this particular market :(

Alright gang, the pro ecm was a no go, but I ordered the sila+ for my 1.3l and its been good for 3 weeks, no codes, good power, nice choo choo stoooo sounds. pulls hard all the way to 90mph now. Before power would fall off at 70 and then just take for ever getting upto speed.
