What is the biggest tire size I can run on an 2017 Altitude? I'm guessing 235/60/R18

Want to upgrade to a all terrain. Either Atturo Trailblades or BFG All terrain KOs.

I don't see the BFG's even available in that size, But if it was, it wouldn't fit, it's about 1/2" too big.. And the Atturo in that size is a 29" tire as well.

You'll have to do some mods to fit a 29" tire, spacers to clear the strut spring perch, and the pinch seam mod to avoid rubbing...

If you go down to a 17" rim, you have a few more choices in 225/65r17 or 235/60r17 that will fit with no modifications.

235/70r16 fit with no mods and that's a 29" tire.

Yeah, I know you've got those Falken AT3W's on yours, and that Falken is supposedly pretty close to exactly a 29"... I had Toyo 235/65r17 on mine, also a 29", and they rubbed the strut without a spacer, and rubbed the fender with spacers and no pinch seam mod. You're the only person I've heard of to get 29"s on with no other mods...

I am running 225/65R17's on my '19 Latitude 4x4 with no rubbing whatsoever. I am also running 17x7.5 rims with a +20mm offset.

Thank everyone for the information. there is not much to pick from in the 18 rim size for all terrains. looks like I'm going to find some 17 inch wheels that fit the renny and get some all terrains. Touring tires dont belong on a Jeep and dont cut it in the hill country back roads of Western PA. (Especially in the winter).....

    Hey thanks@
I'd like to get away with no mods for now. I like the way the renny rides and dont want to muff it up. Plus I'm on a budget. So wheels and tires will be plenty for now. I'll try to find some 17s that fit and I dig so I can run some ATs.

I'd look at both 16's and 17's, there are even more good choices in a 16", and if you're going to replace the rims anyway, you can go with whatever size fits the tire you want...

You could even try repeating @Corrupt_Reverend 's success getting 29" tires by going with 235/70r16 (Falken Wildpeak at3w) on Stock 16" rims.

If you want to play it safe and be sure everything will fit, you can't go wrong 225/65R17 BFG T/A KO2's

I'm currently running Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus in a 225/65r17, and those will fit yours without any mods too.

I switched to the Pirelli's because I didn't want to cut my pinch seam back any more than I already had, didn't want to give up my spacers, and they have better wet performance then the Toyo Open Countries I was running.

Alright. Thanks for being so helpful. These actually are all tire companies I've been checking out plus the Atturo Trailblades. Knowing that there is more options in a 16 inch rim is good to know.

The wheels in my last post are made in 16 17 & 18 and I think fit the styling of the rennys.
This tire size 255/55R18 I think would fit with no mods or lift? Maybe? I think I remember a girl on here with a Dawn of Justice Edition with this exact tire. BFG All terrains KO2.

If you run our Raceline Wheels you’ll need to use a 1” spacer to clear front brake caliper.

I am riding on the Atturo trail blades with the factory 18” rims. I did install a 1.5” lift and 1” spacers. The tires are great best upgrade so far.

Im new to this forum but i just lifted my 2020 latitude 1.5" and went with the stock 17" rims but replaced the stock 215/60/17 with pirelli scorpion atv 225/65/17 with 1" spacers to give me a slightly wider stance. I use discount tire. They price match so got my pirellis for 133.00 each

    Hey Ocvandal,

I've got a 2016 75th Anniversary Renegade that has 18" factory wheels, and I'm having the 1.5" daystar lift and 1.25" Rugged Trail wheel spacers installed next week. I'm still trying to find out what size tire I can fit, though, and I'm having trouble finding folks with 18" factory wheels and the same lift and spacers that you have. What size tires are you using?

I emailed Daystar and they said they recommended 235/65/r18 tires, which are 30", however I haven't run across anyone with anything much bigger than 29" without having to cut anything off. I'd love to get the biggest tires I can, but I also want don't want to have to cut anything off, or lose all of my articulation offroad. Wondering if I should go with 235/60/r18 instead to be safe.

Anyway, I'd love to know what size tires worked for you, or for anyone else with 18" wheels, 1.5" lift with or without wheels spacers!
