Had the local 4x4 shop install the AVID 2.0 with Eibach springs and mounted Atturo Trail Blades to the stock Trailhawk rims. There is still a fair bit of plastic rubbing with my 1.50" spacers despite some trimming. I ordered a roll of airdam material from Speedway to mock up some new wheel well liners to keep the Illinois salt at bay as much as possible. The alignment went pretty well and other than heavier steering it handles fine. Next will be outfitting the rack with accessories (a SXMA fuel tank, my X-Bull recovery boards, a shovel and a box or two. I also have an RRO winch bumper on order. Not many places to go in Northern IL but we will be taking her on the TWAT this Fall. That's the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, which we've never been on before. Reports indicate that it is half paved, with gravel, dirt and sand portions depending on whether you are on forest roads or just county roads. Shouldn't be a challenge from a technical standpoint but it gets us outside and that is why we do this.
I have the factory skids on it and I don't anticipate any big rocks in my near future but RRO sliders are in consideration. The Valkyrie ladder looks cool and is also on my watch list.
I actually just did the TWAT. Only change from stock was a set of 235/65 r17 Courser AXTs. Had no problems at all. Bests parts of the trail from an off roading standpoint are near the beginning and then the national forest roads up north. Honestly nothing all that challenging, but still a lot of fun.
