    Hello Fellow Renegade Owners,

I purchased the skid plate bundle from ATP.
It includes the Front Motor Trans skid plate, Carrier Bearing skid plate, and the Rear Diff skid plate.
I ordered this on April 29th, and still have not received it, nor heard about shipping timeline.
My card has been charged, but no communication besides "they have received my order" email.

Has anyone else had problems like this with ATP?
Long shipping timeline, no communication, etc....

    Cheers,

ordering directly through ATP is a crap shoot that usually goes bad, I'd cancel the order and reorder through http://www.renegadeready.com/ they usually have your stuff shipped out within a week and they carry all of ATP's gear

You may have already ordered, but I would recommend going with Valkyrie's Rear Diff skid plate instead of ATP as well. They are two different designs that are used for the same function:
ATP Rear Diff Skid - bolts directly to the rear differential, so it may protect the housing from being directly assaulted, but the impact is still putting stress on the differential itself.
Valkyrie Rear Diff Skid - bolts to the surrounding frame areas. This takes all the impact off the differential and the impact is received by the frame.

Thank you! That is great advice, and something that I didn't think about.

I did actually already order, but I got the Valkyrie Rear Differential (which now I am extremely happy with) and Carrier Bearing Skid Plates + the ATP Front Motor/Transmission Skid Plate.
This method saved me $100, and they had all three of those in stock and ready to ship.
So I should get them by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

The Customer Service Team at RenegadeReady.com was great. I highly recommend them.

Awesome, glad to hear! I actually noticed that Valkyrie is developing their own front engine skid now too that looks pretty functional. I bought the ATP one as well since that was the only one available at the time, but there are a couple things it looks like this new one has done better. Just going to add them here too in case anyone references this in the future:

    ATP:
    - 1 piece solid design (no access holes for oil changes, so you have to remove the skid during each oil change. It's very heavy!! I'll be cutting my own access holes after the first oil change with them on)
    - air flow / heat escape is minimal with their design, only available at the bottom section, not sure how much this changes operating temperature since I also installed the AVID front bumper that has minimal air flow at the same time.
    - front angle is pretty steep, but still able to drag over obstacles. I have noticed some obstacles where I was getting stuck on the front drop in the skid, but more power should get you through.

    Valkyrie:
    - 3 piece, skid has 2 access holes to perform oil change with skid still mounted
    - more holes for air to flow / heat to escape through
    - front angle looks like it is less dramatic then the ATP one which would allow an easier drag over obstacles (not sure since I only have the ATP one)

For anyone who is getting either of these front skids, **both will possibly cause you to lose about 1/2"-3/4" of clearance at the front of the vehicle. This is because they both use spacers to connect to the, K-frame? / under engine frame support and drop the front further than it needs to be to match that drop in order to provide space for inner support structure.
**From what I can tell looking at the Valkyrie one it seems to use the same mounting points in the rear as the ATP one, but I can't confirm the inner support structure from their pictures. It may not cause the same loss in clearance if theirs doesn't have this.

    That is great news!!!
Do you have a link to any information about it?
I would love to look at it and read more on it.

Those are some great differences, and would be nice not to have to remove it everytime I change my oil.

I like the looks of the new Valkyrie front skid, I wonder if it would fit with the Avid bumpers? I need to check on that.

I asked the same question in the facebook thread. Corey said it will fit aftermarket bumpers.

Here's a link to their listing for it. Looks like it should become available next month sometime.

    Just purchased mine through RenegadeReady.com
Should be here in 3 weeks.

ATP had not been responding to me nor other retailers, and so my order for the ATP Front Motor/Transmission was cancelled.
Applied the cost to the Valkyrie skid plate and gave me free shipping.

    Great customer service.
Can't wait to get my under armor.

    My experience with ATP...

    1) Order Springs
    2) Card is charged
    3) nothing....
    4) nothing...
    5) e-mail "I see my card has been charged, when will it ship?"
    6) nothing...
    7) phone call, leave voice mail with same message as e-mail
    8) nothing...
    9) nothing...
    10) send e-mail - "I would like to request to cancel my order, since I am not hearing anything from your company and you have charged my card already" also called and left voicemail with same message
    11) nothing
    12) put in dispute with VISA
    13) Receive notification that my order is shipping (probably someone else's springs that has been waiting longer)
    14) Wait to see if they really shipped since no Tracking # was provided
    15) Spring show up, in parallel to VISA reversing charge
    16) ATP starts calling and e-mailing me daily like I am a customer they care about finally
    17) They want their money because I have the product, make sense.
    18) I call VISA and reverse dispute
    19) VISA take a few days, so I get lots of calls and e-mail from ATP during those days

Morale of the story, They only call you when you owe them money. They only e-mail when they want money. They only send your order when you threaten to cancel or dispute it with VISA. I would have just sent the springs back and never did business with ATP again, but I am too lazy to Red coat paint my own Eibachs and mark them up $100 and sell them to myself or anyone else. If they ever break, I am not even going to bother calling ATP, it would be a waste of time. I will just go buy Eibachs and not be OCD about color matching my trim.

I ended up canceling my order with them.
I also filed a dispute with my credit card company, and called ATP the next day, and told what I had done, and told them to cancel it immediately. They said they needed it in writing, and I said check your email, I have sent FIVE.
The cancelled my order and got my money back in two days. Called my CC company and cancelled the dispute.

I now have Valkyrie Skid Plate all three of them, and I love them. They are at lower angels which allow for better scraping (if that happens). And the front motor/trans skid plate doesn't have to be taken off to change the oil. It has two removable plates!! Also, compared to ATP which would have caused almost 1.5" of lost clearance, I only lost about 0.7'' with the Valkyrie Skid Plates!!!

I would avoid ATP unless you are buying from an authorized reseller/distributor (but even Madnessautoworks.com couldn't get through to ATP).

    Highly recommend RenegadeReady.com and Madnessautoworks.com.

I got a phone call and then an email from ATP today stating that my Lift Kit (4.0) finally shipped; right at 11 weeks.

In their defense, it has got to suck relying on others when building a kit (Eibach for their springs). BUT, a lot of it is also self-inflected. It is bad business to sell a product that you don’t have in stock. AND it is even worse to have a sale for a product that you don’t have in stock.

I am giving them a shot, I just hope it was worth the wait.

I totally understand your frustration with ATP Shipping. It can be really annoying when there's a lack of communication and delays in shipping. I haven't personally dealt with ATP, but it's always helpful to hear about others' experiences. By the way, if you ever find yourself in need of towing, I recently came across some info about long distance towing cost online. It might come in handy if you ever need to transport your vehicle over a significant distance. I'm new to this forum, but I'm here to join the conversation and help out wherever I can. Hopefully, you'll receive your skid plate bundle soon and can enjoy your Renegade to the fullest!

Four years ago, it must have been quite frustrating to experience delays and a lack of communication with ATP Shipping regarding your skid plate bundle order. It's essential to have a clear timeline and reliable updates, especially when you've already made a payment.
While I don't have access to past threads, I hope you were able to resolve the issue with ATP Shipping back then. In situations like these, direct communication with their customer support can often lead to a solution.
If you ever needed shipping services for items like boats, you might have explored options at https://www.a1autotransport.com/boats/. Reliable shipping services are essential for various shipping needs, and having resources like these can be valuable.
