Been driving my toaster for a year already. taken it off-road quiet a bit but most of the time i scrape the low hanging stock bummper. looking to put in the TH bumper. Has anyone done this upgrade? I see the radiator is low and I know I will have to bring that up a bit. Its that gets to complicated I might just do the avid prerunner bumper.
There wouldn’t be any problem putting a TH bumper on a non-TH model. Under the skin, they are pretty much the same. The only real difference with the Trailhawk’s and the non-Trailhawk models is in their lower control arms (heavy duty ball joints), the springs are .8 inches taller (installed) and different 4 wheel drive options. The frames are almost identical. There maybe a little deference with the 1.4L turbo models because of their intercooler, but I am not sure.
UPDATE: The Trailhawk's radiator is mounted 3" higher. The lower core support raises the Trailhawk's radiator 3" and the radiator's upper mount's clip into the upper slots.
