Added the CB & antenna. Yep glass mounted it gets out about 2 miles.

I was able to get the full size tire to fit in the tub so I just saved about $500.00 + bucks so now I don't need a tire swing.

    Nice build so far!

    Two questions:

    1. How'd you run the cable for your CB whip?

    2. What'd you use to cut the snorkel hole? (I've been waiting on installing mine because I don't want the chatter mess from a hole saw.)

1: It is not a whip it is glass mounted. I ran the cable from the radio under the side kick plates all the way to the window.

2: High carbon hole saw to cut the hole.

Nice looking ride you have there. What rear step bumper did you put on it? Planning to buy PowerStep but I'm still open for other recommendations.

Mr. & Mrs. Sig, a couple questions. How do you like the seat covers? I'm considering those same ones, any issues? How big a winch do you have in that front bumper (or what winch do you have)? I'm considering the DayStar front winch mount/brush guard as I can get an 8-9000 pound capacity winch on there.

On a side note, my Trailhawk didn't come with a hitch reciever. I'm considering Avids rear bumper with the swing out spare tire carrier. Any thoughts on their stuff since you have their front bumper?

As I am a ham radio guy, I'm planning on running a 2 meter antenna on a roof rack mount when I get a basket up there. Moving to a whip mounted higher from the glass mount antenna will get you a better radiation pattern and range. Just an FYI. Diamond Antenna makes a mount that rotates 90 degrees to lay flat so you can get in/out of garages without having to get out and drop the aerial.

That rig looks great. Hope you both have many happy years and miles in it.

They make the best covers I have them in my Wrangler for years. Smitty 9.5 wireless & we love the Avid bumper it is top notch. 10 times better than the daystar. One of our club members has the daystar.

Thanks for the info, especially on the bumper. I like how clean it looks compared to the DayStar brushguatd look.

Quick question, how do you use the clutch on the winch in the AVID front bumper?

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. I may end up going the DayStar Mount route. I found one on rocky-road.com as well. Thanks for the info.

I recently ordered and recieved a 1.4T radius bumper... The top comes with a half moon opening to get to a the winch clutch. Maybe they just started to implement this.
