I want to add the springs to my Renegade but I asked a shop that did my 2 inch and they didn’t want to add the springs telling me it won’t align

Did they give you the option to do it anyway? I understand alignment is important, but so is looking cool. Right? I have the Daystar 1.5 lift and rear Eibach springs which I installed myself. The alignment shop got it as close as they could but it was still out by about 1 degree. This is not a deal breaker by any means. I now have about 40K miles on the lift and the same set of BFG KO2 tires. I do not have any odd wear problems or vibration or anything else. You just need to rotate your tires regularly and you'll be fine.

So with ur alignment not at factory is your steering still good or does it pull left or right? And having put 40k miles on it have you had any issues by the lift like cv joints or anything?

No pulling or anything like that. The CV joints have not started clunking or anything like that either. The only issue I've had is the sway-bar end links that Daystar provided with the lift kit failed. These were only changed in the front. They provided a replacement set for free. Those worked for a while but are now starting to fail also. The rear sway-bar has had no issues this whole time using the factory end links. I will probably end up putting the factory end links on the front and see what happens. But I do not believe any of that would be related to the alignment.

I have the ATP 2" spacer lift and the 2" Eibach spring lift both front and back and the shop that I got to do the install told me there was no issues getting everything aligned. The hardest part of the process was actually finding a shop that was willing to do it.

I'm quite enjoying it. And you end up geting more lift then then advertised, or at least I did anyway.
2" spacers and roughly 2" spring but I actually ended up getting almost 6" of lift out of it.
And its rather funny when I pull up next to a regular Renegade like a sport or a limited because I can see on top of their roof lol.

It still handles great on the road, just be ready to feel every tiny little bump because the mods aren't really meant for comfort lol.

As for off roading I cant really say honestly I only really go when the local Jeep club has a ride because I don't have a winch, yet. But with just the spacers (I have the ATP 2" spacers) I was already getting well over things I was scraping on before. I cant wait for the next club ride to see how it does now that I have the springs as well.

Thanks for the details. I also have the ATP 2" spacers and am looking to install springs next. I thought Eibach only made a 1" lift spring for the Renegade. Do you have a url to those 2" lift springs?

well, it says 1.7" x 1.1" but it actually evens out around 2"

There are 2 different sets that Eibach offers, one for 2wd which is only 1" x 1" and the 4x4 set which is the 1.7 x 1.1

Nathaniel, what size tire are you running on yours? And any rubbing issues at all?

They look to be 235x65x17. But that just my guess nice tires though

correct guess on the tire size, they are 235/65/17 Atturo Trail Blade X/T tires. I wanted bigger then the stock 215/65/17 but didn't want to go too much bigger.
    as far as rubbing
With just the ATP 2" spacers and 2" wheel spacers I had to do the pinch seam mod which gave good clearance in the back of the front wells except the front would rub a little on the fog light housing at a full turn, something I hadn't heard about before. But after adding the Eibach springs I have absolutely zero rubbing issues now.

I preordered my kit through Quadratec and still have yet to see it come back from being backordered.

Looks like these are indeed shipping directly from ATP - According to Nathaniel. BTW, how did you calculate 6" of lift? Are you including the tires compared to stock? Pretty sure they would advertise this as a 6" kit if it accomplished just that.

How do you like the Trail Blades so far? I'm running them in an 18" diameter and aside from the MPG loss they aren't too shabby!

since your order is shipping from ATP it could be a while, I was waiting on my light mounts for almost 2 months. as far as the lift, I compared it to a stock height and measured from the top of the tire to the wheel flare roughly 1.5 to 2 inches. then the 2 inch spacers, damn near 2" springs and the tires adding another inch (29 inches compared to the stock DesertHawk tires at 28 inches) the gap between the tire and the wheel flare is now about 7.5 inches, and the tire sits about 1/2 inch higher so subtract that and the difference is about 6, I'd imagine results on different models would vary though since the DesertHawk like the TrailHawk was already made to sit higher.

I wish I had known about the ATP springs being released when I bought the Eibach springs though. The red springs would have looked bad ass.

Thanks for taking the time to explain in detail - looks like I'll be a happy camper with the extra clearance once my order finally ships!

I "suppose" I can move onto some other mods while I wait for ATP. I sent them an email this morning just to check what the status is even though I have only been waiting since 5/10 for them lol.

Even without the red springs your rig still looks great!

ATP may take a while but the quality they have is top notch, they even sent me a letter a couple weeks ago apologizing about how long it took but it's only a handful of people and they are apparently swamped with orders, but I'm planning on getting the skid plates from them, I think it's worth the wait for their stuff.

and thank you! I ended up spending a few hours yesterday finally wiring up the light bar so at the moment everything I have is installed and working, damn lightbar has been on the ATP brackets for almost 2 months without being wired up.

and about the Trail Blade X/T? I love them! they definitely hum on the road but I kinda like that. as far as gas mileage I didnt really see much loss but I had already lost a bit when I put the wheel spacers on with the original tires. Before any mods I was getting around 23mpg and now I'm getting about 19mpg I knew I was going to loose some but at this point I'm not complaining too much lol
