Interested in some fun off road adventures in the New England area / North East... let me know if there is anything out there!

I will be heading to Jeep Jam 2017 on 8/12 at Wojcik's Farm in Blackstone Ma and to New England's Jeep Fest on 8/26 in Carlton Ma hosted by Barnstorm Jeeps and 508Intl.

But looking for a off road trip for my wife and I to join.

What size tires are you running for the Cape? They are pretty strict on tire sizes from what I have read. For a 17" wheel the minimum is a 245 which won't fit on the Renegade without some major modifications. A 235 on a 16" wheel should be alright, not sure if it would rub? I have seen a video from Provincetown with a black Renegade in the background, is it yours?

I forget... how much is the 7 day National Seashore pass? I know they only pass out 400 at a time.

My trailhawk came stock with 215/65/R17 Wranglers... that's fine for the dunes.

You might want to give them a call before you go. I didn't see anything on the site about stock tires but did find the minimums by rim size. I would love to go there to do some fishing but based on their minimums my Renegade would not get on.

This is what is on the site:

    • Tires: All 5 tires, including the spare tire, must meet or exceed the standards outlined below. NOTE: Many newer vehicles are being produced with temporary (smaller) spare tires; be sure to carefully, physically check your spare tire size for compliance before applying for an Oversand permit. These standards are minimum acceptable tire standards.

Rim Diameter - Width - Profile Example

    19" 265 50 or > P265 / 50 R19

    18" 255 55 or > P255 / 55 R18

    17" 245 60 or > P245 / 60 R17

    16" 235 65 or > P235 / 65 R16

    15" 225 70 or > P225 / 70 R15

Have you checked out the North East Jeep Alliance (NEJA) website? They have a calendar of events and trips for Jeep enthusiasts in the NE region. You might find some trips that interest you there. As for the upcoming Jeep Jam 2017 and New England's Jeep Fest, those sound like a blast! I'm sure you'll have a great time there with other Jeep enthusiasts. I'm personally more of a fan of business class flights, but I can totally see the appeal of off-roading and getting some fresh air and adventure. Hope you have a great trip and let us know how it goes!
