Part numbers for Deserthawk rockrails

I have seen some folks looking for the part numbers for factory rockrails. My local Jeep dealer was kind enough to do a ton of searching for me and he finally found the numbers. He couldn't find price or availability, but he did find numbers.

I talked to parts dept today, and they said the part number is active, but only says backorder. I imagine it's due to just being released and only on the Deserthawk itself at 1st.

So just to reiterate BumbleBU's post, it looks like the Jeep Renegade Deserthawk factory rocksliders part numbers are 6KD94UECAA, and 6KD95UECAA, and are called Molding, Side Sill, Left, and Molding, Side Sill, Right. Interesting name for rocker protectors.

So if anyone searches for this on the Internet hopefully they'll find this post on a leetle forum off on one corner of the automotive-enthusiast type of forums.

 

I took my desert hawk on a couple trails over last weekend and let me tell you, those rock rails do a very good job lol. There were a couple times where I thought to myself, if I had the plactic, I would have just destroyed them

That's probably because there made in Europe and over here they would be sill protectors because it protects the sill .

So they're actually metal parts? Anyone got updates on prices? Only deserthawk had them?

I looked up the number on a Mopar parts website, it looks like you need all four part numbers, not just two ( All the numbers under "5") Two of them are 50-70$ each, and the others are. 25-30$ each. Surprisingly inexpensive...to the point of implausibility. But that is what was on the diagram for the desert hawk.
Edit...I could be wrong, Those part diagrams are a pain to decipher. But $60ish a side seems tooooooooo cheap.

 

That was my concern too. Seemed too good a price to be true, like the price of the plastic parts that would be removed when putting metal ones on.

Anyone that put aftermarket rocksliders on check the partnumber on what they pulled?

 

I looked over the diagram, looks like the plastic parts on my Sport.

 

Unfortunately you can't go by the pictures- they use the same reference pictures for both TH and non-TH models even in places where there are different parts at times. When I was looking over the differences between the two in both the front and rear bumper covers and associated structure underneath I found that they used non-TH pictures, and simply omitted things for the TH models, but even then were inconsistent.

The more telling thing that these might actually not be the DH rocker plates is that for 2017 MY they list every trim level of Renegade, including the FWD models. Now I while expect these DH rocker plates to fit every model, they should only list 'em for either Deserthawk, or perhaps for Trailhawk if in their trim package systems, a Deserthawk is just a minor variation on the Trailhawk configuration.

 

So to the owners of the DH. are these worthy the $ or skip altogether and get aftermarket? I can order them from the dealer and not pay if the plastics arrive.

 

True, when I was looking up stuff for the Trailhawk front end the descriptions say they fit all models as well. It would be helpful if they actually did different diagrams for Sport/Latitude/Limited/altitude and Trailhawk/Deserthawk, simply because there are a lot of differences, even structurally. But that would be too easy, right? At first I thought they withheld that sort of info so you would have to go to the dealer, but that would only work if the dealers were knowledgeable, which mine is not.

Rocky Road Outfitters has a rock slider without steps that looks similar. They only have pictures of sliders with steps.
