I am looking to get a new set of tires for my TH it has the 17" wheels and I was wondering what the max tire size for KO2s or similar would be on it. It's stock with no mods. But will do some in the future. I know this has probably been discussed before but I just need some reassurance before I commit to buying. Lol Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
I recently installed Yoko Geo AT-S 225/65R17 on my stock '16 TH, with no issues, if that helps. Sent from my Pixel XL using ToasterJeep mobile app
The tread is good but not as aggressive as KO2s, but yet feels very grippy(haven't tested off road yet). The road noise is about equal to the stock tire and is very smooth. I have KO2s on my work vehicle and they are noisier and rough riding...IMO. Today I installed 1" wheel spacers and that gave it a wider stance and makes the YOKOs pop a little more. Here are pics after the wheel spacer install. Sent from my Pixel XL using ToasterJeep mobile app
I ended up temporarily (due to a road trip) with some pirelli scorpions 225/65r 17s. They look nice and I got a heck of a deal on them. Will post pics tomorrow after I take them Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
No, didn't need to. They fit fine without that mod, no rubbing anywhere. Sent from my Pixel XL using ToasterJeep mobile app
Just on a few smaller trails. They do the job well, but I won't be taking them on anything too ridiculous. They are a few notches above stock, but not KO2s Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Not really, just down the beach. Performance was good in the soft sand. Sent from my Pixel XL using ToasterJeep mobile app
Cool, that's great! They get awesome reviews in rain and snow. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G920T using ToasterJeep mobile app
Right on, thanks. I'm getting my information together, u know, I'll probably be getting new shoes this winter. I still have the OEM tires and should be ready for new tires by the spring for sure. Sent from my SM-G920T using ToasterJeep mobile app
I personally have taken the Yokohama ATS and KO2s on my TH. Mind you it was the GO12 and not the newer GO15. When I had them, I was behind a TH with KO2s, and tried to take the exact same line as he did. I had a couple 2 try spots where he just kept moving forward. We were both in rock mode. I feel, as a tire professional, the H rated Yokohama is worth it if you don't want the 'ultimate' in grip off-road, and more responsive better wet weather traction on road. I switched out after 10k to my KO2s and have enjoyed the shit outta them. Onroad is what you'd expect, but wet weather is similar to the old KOs.. a little loose. I know the KO2s resist drying as fast as the old ones did, I wish they were available in a C load not a D in most sizes.
