Hi everyone. This may come out of nowhere but is anyone else annoyed that there exists ONLY ONE BUTTON to lift the rear door? There is not even one on the dash. How has this not raised the ire of more Renny owners!? So with this in mind, has anyone figured out if one can be "added" to the key fob? I know that such buttons exist on this style key fob (see pic of rubber cover sold on Amazon). Maybe at the very least added somewhere on the dash panel? Thanks. I hope someone can bring some good news! Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
I think some European market (UK?) models have that. Probably not as simple an upgrade as a change to the Fob....
There is a little bit of modifying you can do to they key fob to unlock the trunk. Here is the post http://toasterjeep.com/index.php?threads/key-fob-mod-to-open-rear-hatch.932/
Thanks for the link but alas, this does not apply to me. I have a keyless fob. The space is there. How can I add it!!?? Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
You might be able to pry it apart like you are replacing the battery and look at it maybe it just has a oring blocking it like the other key fob.
I did the same. There is nothing on the circuit board for it to click into. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
