In Europe they sell an improved skid plate to cover the drive shaft. Since my father in law owns a shop that has all the tools I need to make one I decided to take on the challenge. The scrap metal I had to work with was .22" 410 stainless. Not ideal, but it worked. Here is what I came up with, let me know what you think. (You'll notice on this first run my bolt holes are incorrect and I need to allow more room around both pipes) I plan to remake it correctly and paint it a similar orange as my jeep or powder coat it black.
I'll buy one too! Let's start a group buy! lol If you don't have time to do it, I have access to a shop and can get these made if you'll share the file.
Maybe if you asked the admin if you could advertise a group buy if you were to pay them an "administrative" fee or if you had the equipment even produce them for the forum with little toasters cut into them. I am sure the Admins are just trying to keep this forum a place for jeepers instead of a place flooded with for sale adds and little actual exchange of knowledge. I can understand both sides, but instead of making them out to be the bad guy, even jokingly , maybe see if there is a way EVERY one can win. Just saying....
Understood. I heard that you can pay to be a sponsor but it's not like I'm a business who can afford to sponsor, just an enthusiast. I'll see what can be done.
Omg. Lol. Does that area need to breath for any mechanical reasons? How heavy is that guy? The design is awesome. Well played.
