Not sure if this has been discovered already. My "dead" key broke off today revealing a working "trunk pop" key. Two presses released the back hatch. There is simply an O'ring preventing the button from being pressed. Remove the ring and the button works fine. The bad news for me is that the plastic part is actually broken and wont stay in place. Has anyone else tried looking under this blank key?
Yes, yes & yes. It's not so much the oring as it is the 4 posts that need to be clipped. Did it to mine a week after I read it on here back in December.
