I recently saw from my facebook groups that the closest Jeep jamboree closest to me (Drummond Island, MI) is all booked up for this year:(. I had a great time a couple of years ago on this. Looking at getting a Renegade Trailhawk (or maybe the DesertHawk!) later this year, but wondered if anyone out there has gone on a Jamboree with the rengade and what their experience was.

I plan to attend one in Virginia in June. I contacted the folks and asked if they've ever had a Renegade on the course. I was told, "not yet, but just sign the paperwork and be the first." I think I just may do it! :)

When I talked to the Facebook group for Drummond Island, they mentioned that 4LO was a requirement, so Trailhawk or Deserthawk Renegade required (not to mention the skid plates). I remember from taking my Wrangler a couple years back, you need a full size spare and tow points front and rear. Some Jamboree's require lockers (Maine?). Remembering Drummond Island in the Wrangler, 3-4 trail rating should be not problem with a Trailhawk.

I would definitely get the Daystar or ATP lift as well if you can and some A/T tires.

Jamborees are an absolute blast, dominated by wranglers, older cherokees (XJ) and some vintage CJ's here and there. Good people for the most part although there are a few $90K wranglers out on the trail that owners have no mechanical ability, but plenty of cash to upgrade their Rubicon's.
