Anyone try Fins and Things in the Renegade? I am going to Moab for the long weekend before I move back to the east coast. I think I'm going to give it a try!

Well I'm gonna give it the ole college try! A friend recommended it know my setup and thinks I will be ok if I take it slow. If not there are plenty of other trails I can run. I will post up pics of my journey regardless!

Sure can! I did it last year. Just need to be careful on a few parts. I was also in a TH so the extra clearance and approach angle was nice. I'd be worried in a Lattitude...

I actually did the first 2.2 miles.

SGT Strife did you run the whole fins and things trail? Or just a portion? Also was there any other trails at Moab you ran? Any advice for anything in Moab? Camping, Food, places to stay way from?

I ran the first segment, but I really don't know that I'd take anything but the TH model on it. There is a down hill part that really gets tricky. I almost got my nose end stuck in the sand with the TH and its got a higher stock clearance as well as a better front bumper approach angle.

We drove towards chicken fingers which was scenic and doable. We also did baby lions back (really short but fun). I'm sure there are more mild trails you could explore as well. Just don't try something questionable without someone else there to rescue your butt in case you get stuck.

This photo is of some parts of fins n things and the bottom left is baby lions back.

We camped right at the trail head for fins n things (loop E). All the info you should need will be on the thread that I linked in my previous comment.

Thank you for the info. I too am in a TH and the only thing I've done was the KO2 tires. From everything I've read Fins and Things is a one way trail. If I only ran a portion of that trail where could I get off or turn around? I would like to check out baby lions back too!

I think it was meant to be a one way but you could go back if needed. Maybe make a few people mad if it's busy.

There are quite a few locations big enough to turn around at for sure.

Also, my TH was completely stock on my trip. So you could do it but you need a spotter who knows what they are doing.

Bull canyon. gemini bridges. Chicken corners. Not fingers lol. Hurrah pass. Shafer trail. Things towards arches are tougher for our clearance.
