if you remove all spacers you will have no issue on the rear wheels, but you will not clear the strut on the front wheels. On the front you need a spacer: minimum size 0,5 cm - maximum size 1 cm (up to 2 cm, but not recommended) I used a 0,5 cm spacer on the front wheels and have no rubbing and enough strut clearance.
Have you taken her offroad yet? Any rubbing on rough trails? How is the drive now with tires that are 13lbs heavier than the originals?

Yes already done a couple of dirtry trails and no rubbing even in hard twist. A lot more fun and ease of use with this setup !!! My engine is the European version of the Traihawk (2.o turbo diesel 170 hp) and of course the heavier wheels affect a little the performance in acceleration, but not so much. What is heavily affetcted is the mpg... I would say a 20% loss

How bad is it to cut pinch seems? i was thinking of just going with the same setup from the wayalife red renegade and getting STT Pro's. But if jeep finds out i cut the pinch seem can that cause warranty problems, I mean other than obvious? Thank you
If you use 17" rims and a 65 tyre sidewall, 235 width, it will not affetct spacers size, because there will be a compensation between the two dimension involved in the calculation of the clearance. If you cut the metal of your car, for sure you will void your warranty
Ouch, what did it go down to from what you were getting before? People here in the US with the 2.4 TrailHawk have only seen about 2-3mpg loss with the KO2s, even in the 17" size.
In Europe we use the measure Km/l. With stock alloy rims and tyres (here we have 215/60 R17) it was 14 Km/l. With the current wheels setup it is 11.5 Km/l. Consequently a difference around 18%
Ive been monitoring my MPG since I had the KO2s and lift installed last week and I was getting 26mpg before and After reseting the gauge for a week, I'm getting 26mpg still with the new setup. My normal drive to work is about 15 miles with maybe 5 stop and go situations. Most the time Im traveling about 50 to 60 mph. So I'm not seeing the big decrease in MPGs that everyone else is.
Happy for you ! Probably the poor performance in KM/L that is affecting my TH is also related to new steel rims, heavier than stock alloy ones. The overall weight increase of the wheel is really noticeable
I can definitely tell that there is some extra weight to the tires as far as acceleration from a stop goes, but once up to speed there isn't much of a difference. I think if you drive mostly city, you will notice a big difference in mpg with KO2 tires.
That's my issue, mostly city/burb stop and go driving, 6 mile commute. Definitely takes a lil more to get going from a stop. As soon as I get some sustained highway driving I'll know better.
Hey guys thinking about getting these tires. I asked on the other thread about weather these would be a good idea since I travel for my job ....lol I travel about 2500 miles a month. How bad does it affect the MPG's and do you think it will really harm anything since it is a heavier and a little bigger tire? Thanks
The wheels must play a pretty big part in your decrease in gas mileage, that weight on top of the heavier tires will add up. Its worth it, your setup looks awesome
I have a Sport version. Since the Trail Hawk is 1" taller.. Could I fit the BFG KO2 225/70/16 with no lift or spacers? Or would I have to use a 215/70r16?
The 215 width wouldn't be a problem, it would be the taller sidewall of the 70 tire that would likely cause you problems.
Quick question..Looking for opinions. I have a 16 trailhawk with stock wheels - 225 65 17 ko2s - and eibach series 7 spacers that bolt on the hub then the wheel bolts to them. I just installed the g force 1" lift and wheel centering kit myself. All was fine then I took it to get aligned right away .. They got it 100% to spec. Anyway when I got it back I didn't notice initially but when I press on the brake there is a goofy scratchy type squeak coming from the drivers front. I checked torque.. Cleaned with brake cleaner.. No avail. Only 20 miles since alignment. Any opinions? I appreciate the help.
