Im going to purchase these to steal your look. is this the part number you used? E30-51-018-01-22 Also, were you able to get them installed for a decent price, or did you do it yourself?
be prepared to feel every little bump in the road with these springs, they aren't very forgiving on pavement. However, if you do any offroading the Eibach springs really shine. they may be bumpy on pavement but rough terrain at moderate speeds it's buttery smooth, kinda back a**wards I know but my work commute can be bumpy and a little jittery but I'll go full tilt out on the trails lol
How was the "eveness" of the lift? It says it raises the front more than the rear on every description I've read (for the latitude) by about a half inch. I already have an issue with a saggy butt because my Rene is usually weighed down by cargo (I own a catering company) and my sub. I'm concerned about further enhancing an already existing issue.
it actually raised the rear of my latitude more than the front and evened out the ride height front to back
I did mine at a friends cause he has a real spring compressor not those scary all thread jobs. I can't really tell much difference in ride quality on or off road and my front end is a little shorter than the back. Zero issues so far
Fronts are a little scary with the home tool, back springs I was able to compress and swap easily by hand without a spring compressor tool with no issues, of course do this at your own risk
Anyone put eibachs on b8 5100 bilsteins? I have avid 1.5 spacers right but I just want to upgrade the strut for the more clearance.
How much of a lift do these provide on a Trailhawk and why would you not need to adjust the subframe geometry and other items that come with spacer lifts?
Have you had any trouble with ONLY having the spring in with no spacer lift added? Weird tire angles or alignment getting weird? I’m trying to figure out if I want to buy a spacer lift kit or just the Eibach springs to get more ground clearance. Thanks in advance!
If you do a search on spring changes almost all answers are yes. Most say camber and toe will be different after the install.
Having lowered my Civic with springs, then coilovers, then putting it back to stock and lifting my Renegade I can confirm that yes, even a spring change will be enough to change your camber and you will want to get an alignment even if that is all you do. It is a good idea to decide if you are going to do just springs or the kit that way you only have to get it aligned once. I did TH springs and the Avid 1.5" lift in my Sport at the same time for that reason.
For anyone that has the eibach springs. Which direction is the lettering facing? I had a shop install them since I did not want to mess with compression myself and believe they might have been put in the wrong way since the writing is upside down but the directions say it should face up. Can they even be put in upside down?
ummm, those need to be turned the right way up. the way the coils are made you'll have problems with them put in upside down. as you pointed out the instructions clearly state that the lettering must be facing out and facing up, they did that so it would be foolproof to get them installed correctly.
