Well, who's interested? Will be discussing with the admins about doing a group buy on here before any details are released...so don't ask lol It should look familiar to a few of you, yes they are the ones that made it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
So that dark carbon fiber cone is the filter?like a in- route type?? I was expecting more like a Cold air intake with a filter somewhere Under the engine if possibly..[emoji50][emoji45] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Yes that's the air filter. Part of the intended design is to use stock routing without stock restrictions. Also to maintain the same water fording. There is discussion of making a carbon fiber snorkel as well, which will be a little down the road depending on interest level. The snorkel would use the same turbo inlet piece as well as filter, the other elbow would be completely different through. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
*also, you can see from all the water splashed underhood....you don't want an open element filter. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yeah but at the end of that snorkel it's an open end ..mine was at list and I don't see how water cant be sucked in there if one wants to go soo crazy off road into the water/mud..better off stay stock.. I just don't see the safety difference at the end of that snorkel..i haven't seen in the pics of this new one but I know the stock is about 1 1/2 open to breath in..Not so good in performance terms if the new one the same then wats the Real difference Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Oh wait that's the Stock one..Noooo[emoji43] ! Ok the only cool piece of this system it would be the inlet pipe. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
So the snorkel in question would run through the fender and require a hole be cut in said fender and it would mount to the A Piller. The permanent mount would be in the fender and a padded removable mount to the A Piller - so that part is reversible. But if you are doing a snorkel, you already decided a fender was dying lol. An open element filter in an off road vehicle is a terrible idea, so that's why it's a sealed filter. It runs the stock route so it retains the same safety as the stock system, plus this keeps more dirt out of the filter than the stock system does. That may seem odd, but physics Anyhow, the GB will be for this design and if there is enough demand then the snorkel kit will be produced. It will be an add-on for this intake or available as a snorkel + intake. Obviously the snorkel kits are not for the faint of heart. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yeah maybe they should have made a Abarth version of Renegade -lol for one's like me [emoji28] Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
They did, that's why the 1.4T is in here Very side note, will be tuned in the near future...so, keep an eye out for that thread. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Oh yeah?..now that's amazing news,I'm really looking forward to a accesportcobb like tuner![emoji43]re- mapping and that cool stuff Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Ha, not hardly. Cobb has zero interest in the 1.4T. We are working on cracking the read protocol, when some info is available, it'll be on here. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It won't be like the Abarth where it fills in 20-25hp vallies in the power curve, but it is part of a package that benefits the vehicle tremendously. If you do any of the three items: intake, fmic hoses, or muffler delete. No single item will have a great yield. Combine them and especially with a tune and it makes all the difference in the world. Anyone in the Vegas area, you're welcome to go for a drive in mine. Which now has all three items and soon a tune. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
*also, I don't need any commitment yet, just a consensus in people that may want one. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
