Oh yeah. There are several trails there. Some that are gnarly and others that are more scenic than anything. Different trails for different abilities. I say we hit it up! I believe it's a $5 entrance fee if I'm not mistaken Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Glad to hear! I'm gonna wait until my stock tires wear out before investing in a lift and beefier tires. I'm hoping that in this way by the time I'm able to do it, more aftermarket options will be available. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
It appears that rain is scheduled for the Azusa area tomorrow morning. I'm still up for getting together with anyone interested in meeting. If not Azusa there's Rowher Flats area. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
No rain on a Saturday finally! Anyone up for our meet? Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Let's give it a try. Hopefully the water crossing isn't too deep. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Cool beans. Anyone else? Azusa Greens Golf Course at 8? I can do a later meet time as well Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Is the water crossing at the beginning of the trail? In other words, do we need to cross it in order to enjoy the rest of the park and in your estimation how deep can it get? 10am could work. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
It is the entrance to the rest of the ohv area. I'm not sure what the average depth is and I have never crossed it but subarus cross it all the time. I just don't know how deep it's gonna be because of the recent rainfall. I'm willing to just check it out and go from there. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
10 works for me. Worse case scenario, if the water is too deep, this can at least serve for all of us to meet Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
So I asked around about Azusa and was given some words of caution. My neighbor's buddy was there last Sunday. The weather, specifically precipitation, during the days prior was very similar to what we had this week. This past Sunday, he reported the water level of the crossing at the entrance to the HOV park made it to the door handles of his lifted unlimited Wrangler. Apparently he was very nervous about stalling out. With consideration for the fact that it just rained not even 36 hours ago as well as on Tuesday, I think it's safe to assume that water crossing will exceed the capabilities of our vehicles. Therefore, and with further consideration for the distance required to get to that park, i'm going to pass. However, should you guys decide to go to hungry valley, I'm all in. It's not any closer, but there's no obstacles near the trailhead preventing us from enjoying the park. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
Thanks for the info. I'm down to go where ever else. Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
I'm glad that Hungry Valley is back on the table. Didn't mention it cause it does have a $5 entrance fee but its has many miles of trails. 10 am at the entrance gate? Sent from my iPhone using ToasterJeep mobile app
