So this is my plan for a winch is as attached. Has anyone taken the front bumper off and see how much room is back there? I also don't know if I just want the big 4500 ATV winch or get the 8k VR, or if a Zeon would fit. Might be a summer project, but I know I will need time to fab a mount, and so fourth..

Well the rule of thumb for winch capacity is 2x the vehicle weight. 4500 lbs just might not be big enough. When you need a winch, you NEED a winch.

Pics and a mod post when you get around to it.
    Good Luck.

There were some European conversions with behind-cover winches.

Not many pictures running around with the bumper covers off. The aluminum front crossmember/bumper insert on a non-TH is not suited to it, and I don't think that either the non-TH or the TH insert is far enough back for the winch to fit. You'll probably have to fabricate your own crossmember accordingly.

If Chrysler is paying attention, this is an aftermarket "Direct Connection" accessory that I want. Either a winch, or else a front-mounted receiver that could accept a winch on a drawbar along with other accessories.

prices in europe are a lot higher for this kind of stuff...for example the daystar lightbar costs around 1100€ here...btw the winch itself is included in the kit, but its way to low i agree

That's the one that I like too. Or the Mopar concept truck version that hides even more of the winch, though given my experience with winches is pretty minimal I assume that having at least some view of the cable is a good thing...
