I finally home made a couple brackets and mounted up two of my pod lights on the front of the windshield. Here are pictures. If you have any questions let me know. I should be able to divulge some insight on the project. Honestly. Used some old sliding blinds brackets. L shaped. Longer in one side and shorter on the other. I installed on the hood pivot bolts. (Basically the ones that hold the hood while you raise it) worked out decently. Had to do some cutting and grinding but fabricated the bracket to slide over the bolt threading (open ended on one side rather than drilling a hole in the bracket. So basically the bracket slides down into place behind the bolt head and you tighten the bolt head onto the bracket. No movement in bracket. Pretty solid. Only issue I ran into is the windshield wiper arm barely taps the pod. Nothing a little bending and readjustment couldn't fix.

You'll also have to cut a little bit of the gutter plastic that is removable for the bracket to go into place.

Just out of curiosity what did you mount your brackets to?

Did the same. Great minds think alike haha. I think I have to get some heavier duty brackets though. I noticed mine tend to vibrate a little and my drivers side windshield wiper arm taps the pod occasionally. Did you run into the same problem.

No mine aren't going anywhere. I fabricated a bracket out of 1/4 steel lol

Pods look great. How did you run the wires for the switch ?

I'll take more pictures in a couple of days. I need to install different brackets, at that time I'll take more pictures of how I ran the wires. As far as the switch goes I don't have the pillar switch from daystar yet so I just zip tied the switch under the dash where the knee airbag is.

I changed out the brackets today with some thicker steel. Worked out awesome. Wiper arm doesn't hit anymore and haven't seen any vibration yet. Tomorrow on the highway will be the true test. I did have to cut two little slots out of the actual light mount so the good would open fully but worked out real well.

Nice sounds like that will work better. I made mine wicked strong so when a tree branch hits It when im on a trail it wont even feel it.

Yeah did a little off roading up here this morning. Whacked a couple low hanging branches with the lights and didn't even phase them. I did however almost get stuck haha. Maybe went a little too extreme for my stock latitude lol.

Haha that's ok. You'll never get to know the limits of your jeep until you push them. Good to hear the new brackets are doing the trick.
