Trying to figure out which springs will give me the most lift for the best price. Not trying to do the full lift kit. The springs will provide me with just enough without all the headaches of the lift kit. Anyone know the best places to get them installed without being ripped off?
ATP is made by Eibach to ATP specifications and powder coated red. Will lift about 2 inches and level the ride (no rake). Eibach's, to get the same setup 1.7 front and 1.1 rear. I don't know of any shops in your area. Spring are the more expensive way to lift (labor intensive) Spacers lift can be done in half the time (more labor friendly)
So what spacers can you use on the renegade? I have looked around but haven't came across any. Are they just as safe as in reliability or do they fail pretty easily? Don't plan on doing anything major offroad just want good clearance for most daily stuff maybe some trails
Spacers are a chunk of metal. They, in and of themselves, won't fail. What they can do is put more strain on the drivetrain components, a la CV boot/axle, linkages, possibly more. Renegade Ready and a few others make off-the-shelf (OTS) kits for spacers. They won't give you any "extra" capability, what they will do is place the center of travel lower, so you can fit larger tires/have a bit more clearance. That can get you over some stuff you wouldn't have maybe been stuck on before, but not by much. If you're not serious "off roading" then honestly, just run it. I've taken my renegade up some rough mountain roads, and aside from slipping the clutch real bad, the jeep itself did well. Just have good tires.
AVID make a good lift kit <link> American Trail Products (ATP) makes a good kit <link> These are the two kits that I have used, there are many manufactures out there. Do a search for Renegade Lift Kits...
