I've seen both the B6 and B8 bilsteins bent, but it's always been by the welds, or mounting flanges to the knuckle.. Yours is the first time I've seen the actual body of the strut bent like that!
I`m in Contact with Bilstein Germany. If anyone have a bented B8 or B6 please post it here with pictures.
If you haven't already, you should post over on https://www.jeeprenegadeforum.com/ There are a number of people who post over there that have experienced bent Bilstein's, I've only seen one here that I recall...
No problem, let's collect it here again. Post your complaints or links to the posts. I give it collected to Bilstein. With links and pictures.
W E L C O M E ! ! ! to the forum. Wow, that is violent... Those are not Bilstein B6 pictured, those are Bilstein 5100. And the 5100's have a tendency to bend when playing off-road.
No. Some 5100's have a raised lower spring perch to clear larger tires, which will raise/lift the vehicle. ... I do not know the measurements. From my experience, the B6's are a stronger strut than the 5100's. I went with the B6.
Thanks. The raised lower spring perch maybe reason enough to go with the B6 struts in combination with either the ATP Or Eibach coils.
I cant find the passenger side and the drivers sode being sold together. Seems there are a shortage of b6 passenger side struts. My wife bent the stock strut. Where are you guys buying these b6 in pairs from? For the front on 2015 latitude. ..alos was thinking about buying the beefier mevotech lower control arms theres no picture though but thier tie rod ends have been awesome and beefy. Any help locating b6 for passenger side ? Summit racing has some but takes almost a month. Thanks
