Does anyone know if there's any manufacturer out there that makes a rear shock that's slightly stiffer than stock? I'm think of this for cargo purposes. When you have stuff in the cargo area it's easy to see that the rear sags a bit. I ran a Monroe Load Leveler on my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee which worked out great. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of anything available for the renegade. Sent from my SM-G920V using ToasterJeep mobile app
I m into the same situation, it drops significantly when put on my even a small load, so far i didn't see anything outhere for the Renny Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Eibach makes the springs for both 4x4 and fwd models. I think I have seen some places offering a lowering kit too, though that seems like the opposites of what you do to a Jeep. As for gas shocks, haven't seen those yet.
And here is the link I forgot to add: http://www.renegadeready.com/Lift-Kits-Suspension-Upgrades_c_16.html
Ha, this is not i my problem is. The lift is not what i was talking about, but the car dropping under the weight of load, i mean stiffness that i need some type of holders /stopper for the rear only, but thanks for trying Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
I saw, something on YouTube on a ford st the guy had installed a air bag inside the coil spring that would hold up the extra load when needed with an air compressor, i think it was just plugged into the 12 volt cigarette lighter, some custom made or actually made particularly for certain vehicles. .i thought that was cool Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
I know, my jeep sags a lot when I pick uo supplies for my deli. Those eibach springs are the only thing i can find right now. Maybe find a mechanic who specializes in suspensions and ask them ? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using ToasterJeep mobile app
So you were able to use those eibach lift springs with the daystar lift? Any problems with that setup? Sent from my SM-G920V using ToasterJeep mobile app
No, no spacers, no rubbing. Off road hard 1 time month, deep water 40" in river (with snorkel in jeep). This jeep "when prepared" in off road is veeeeery good.
Hm. That's good to hear that you were to use both the springs with the lift. I've been trying to find out if I can add them with my daystar lift. What size tires are you running? Sent from my SM-G920V using ToasterJeep mobile app
Nevermind on the tire size question. Just saw that you said that already. Sent from my SM-G920V using ToasterJeep mobile app
Don't mean to hijack the thread but where did u get the snorkel? Is it built for the renegade or did u make it fit?
Sumo springs has a foam spacer that twists into the springs in your rear suspension. I had them on a pickup truck I had and loved them. They don't lift the jeep they just prevent the springs from compressing. The also have the side effect of being able to take turns faster. I just ordered them for my sport. $180.00. Model # CSS-1225. They have videos on line to look at www.supersprings.com Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hmm. Those look interesting. Do they really work that well? I would love to have something to keep the rear from sagging. Especially when we start to use the jeep for camping and whatnot this summer.
