Mounts to the rear license plate location on your vehicle's tailgate. (drilling required)

Provides mounting locations for your license plate, 2 LED lights and CB antenna.

    Durable satin black powdercoat finish

    Includes all hardware

    100% made in the USA

The new tailgate panel from GBX MFG offers a great solution for mounting accessories to the back of your vehicle. Mounts to the back of your vehicle using 4 threaded inserts. These inserts are behind the license plate, so if you decide to remove it, the holes will not be visible. The Xbrace holds your license plate off the surface of the panel to allow room to pass your wiring behind the plate and into your tailgate.

The GBX Tailgate Panel offers mounting locations for your license plate, 2 square LED lights, like the Rigid Industries Duallys, and a CB antenna. All hardware and detailed instructions, including drill template, are included. The Tailgate Panel, like all other GBX MFG products, is 100% made in the USA. Made from 1/8" steel, CNC laser cut and bent, then coated in our signature satin black powdercoat.

nice antenna mount solution.... BUT where do you run the cable? Your photos all show just the antenna with out the cable connected. Maybe a bracket that connects by the tail light? or one that connects upfront by the hood where people place light pods.

If you make it, and it's reasonably priced, I'll buy it.... that's of course if it allows for a reasonable way to run the antenna cable.

Well you're in luck we make it and its reasonably priced and the link is in the original post. Wire routing is always up to the consumer depending on what they are using for wiring. For the CB antenna you simply tuck the wire right behind the bracket and run the wiring in the same hole you decide to drill for the light pods. Then for a clean install you should run the wiring through the same grommets for factory wiring.

All of this wiring does take time but its worth it to take the time for a clean quality install.

Just wanted to say I absolutely love my GBX tailgate panel! It was a little scary drilling holes in my 2016 but the outcome was well worth it :)

Also, this is my first time replying to a discussion forum.. I hope I'm doing it right haha!

I'm sorry I do not :/. We usually leave that one up to the buyer since there are different ways you can run the wiring. some may tap it into the reverse lights, most will run the wiring down the piller of the jeep above the headliner. It is time consuming but the out come is well worth it

I like the green one pictured. Do you have the lift and tire size used on that one. I will be putting the tailgate panel on my wife's trailhawk thanks

Thanks. Can you show where you had to trim the pinch seam? Anything to help me sell her on it would be great

Can I see more pics like a side profile of your spare and basket? Full size spare? Mount? Curt Basket?

Absolutely! I do have a full size spare and as far as my roof rack goes, I bought the Reese cross bars for about $90 and the Curt roof rack cargo basket for about $110. I went the cheaper route, however, everything holds up very well. I've had everything on for about 3 months and haven't had to tighten anything.

Been trying to think of a way to MOUNT my tire to a rack when I get one. Can't believe it did not occur to me on just strapping it down! First Jeep I've seen with this, so I am curious, does it ever slide around as far as you can tell?
