Just left my Renegade at the Dealership. I installed the Daystar Lift, and now after about 5000 miles I have a rattle from the front left. When I jack her up, I don't see anything out of place. I pull into service bay, service manager looks and says "there's no factory lift for the Renegade, unfortunately you've voided your entire drive line warranty, this is going to cost you" I had a brief conversation about the actual law, he later tells me I changed the angles of operation which absolutely voids my warranty. This is my third vehicle from this dealer. I'm just hoping should any future mechanical issues arise, they honor the warranty.
Well that's bad news. I hope your service department is wrong. I have heard of dealerships installing this lift, are they voiding the warranty when they install it?
I asked about them installing the lift he said for the Renegade, the only lift that wouldn't void the warranty is an official Jeep/Mopar lift installed by the dealer.
I was saving for the lift, now I'm rethinking that move. Guess I will talk to my dealership and see what position they are going to take.
That really stinks!! Find out what they will cover under warranty for future dealings with dealership.
Good news Sway bar ends and service manager said they'd be covered. They just won't be in until Tuesday.
